We would love to have you establish care before issues develop so that we can help you prevent them if possible.
The Women’s Preventive Services Initiative recommends that women receive at least one preventive care visit per year beginning in adolescence and continuing across the lifespan to ensure the provision of all recommended preventive services. The primary purpose of well-woman visits is the delivery and coordination of recommended preventive services.
Women who are 21 to 29 should have a Pap test alone every 3 years. HPV testing alone can be considered for women who are 25 to 29, but Pap tests are preferred. Women who are 30 to 65 have three options for testing. They can have a Pap test and an HPV test (co-testing) every 5 years.
All sexually active women younger than 25 years should be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia every year. Women 25 years and older with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners or a sex partner who has an STD should also be tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia every year. We offer inclusive care for gender-diverse individuals.
Whether you are a established or new patient, we are happy to help evaluate, provide education and/or treat you.
We can help you evaluate and treat your painful periods. If you have already been diagnosed with adenomyosis, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids, we offer conservative and surgical options.
Whether you are in peri-menopause (which most often starts at age 40-44, but can start in your 30's) or have stopped having periods, we can help with hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, pain with intercourse, and vaginal symptoms, among other concerns. We offer bioidentical hormone therapy and non-hormonal treatments.
Are you having vaginal bleeding that is heavy, irregular, after intercourse or after menopause? Are you not having periods regularly or at all? We can evaluate you with physical exam, ultrasound, cultures and blood work. Have you already been diagnosed with fibroids, adenomyosis, endometrial or cervical polyps? We offer conservative and surgical options for management.
Hormones can wreak havoc on our bodies and our lives. Acne, anxiety, bloating, depression, fatigue, food cravings, headaches, irritability, and sleep disruptions can be debilitating, especially when combined with heavy and or painful periods. We can help you find out what might be contributing and how it might be improved.
Pregnancy and childbirth are the biggest risk factors for pelvic organ prolapse, in which the bladder, uterus, intestines and rectum bulge into the vagina. It might be noticed with exercise or with routine activities. We can evaluate and make recommendations for management. Pelvic organ prolapse can be treated with pessaries (supportive device worn in the vagina), physical therapy and/or surgery.
Whether your pain is constant or cyclical, we can help you determine the cause of your pelvic pain and help you with the treatment option that best fits your needs. We might recommend an integrated approach with other types of providers, or we might recommend surgery. If you have been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst or other issue, we can help observe or treat with minimally invasive surgery.
